The WICS Summer Meeting is our major event in the year. This year, the Department from St Richard’s Hospital will be hosting the event. We have a varied programme aimed at a multidisciplinary audience, and new this year, will be running a parallel workshop twice, on instituting ECMO the patient (with the support of Maquet).

The WICS Summer Meeting is our major event in the year. This year, the Department from St Richard’s Hospital will be hosting the event. We have a varied programme aimed at a multidisciplinary audience, and new this year, will be running a parallel workshop twice, on instituting ECMO the patient (with the support of Maquet).

Social

The venue is West Dean College just a few minutes North of Chichester.  Dinner will be at Wahaca in Chichester. Accommodation options will be posted here in the next few weeks, with discounts.

Trainee Competitions

Trainees are invited to submit an abstract of their work. Abstracts will be objectively scored. Trainees will then be asked to either present their work by oral podium presentation or by poster.

Prize fund

  1. Podium winner £150
  2. Poster winner £100
  3. Best Extended Case Summary £50
